Taliban militants have ambushed a Pakistani military convoy and killed 12 soldiers, the army says.
The attack happened in North Waziristan, near the Afghan border, when militants fired rocket-propelled grenades at several vehicles.
The attack came as authorities in North West Frontier Province offered a reward for information leading to the capture of the country's Taliban commander.
Meanwhile, sporadic violence continued to erupt across Pakistan's north-west.

Honduras se levantó con la noticia de que el presidente Manuel Zelaya había sido capturado por tropas del ejército, aparentemente, en cumplimiento de una orden judicial.
La noche anterior había transcurrido en calma y el propio mandatario había afirmado que las cosas habían regresado a la normalidad, tras una semana de tensiones alrededor de una consulta promovida por el presidente y considerada ilegal por el Congreso y por el Tribunal Electoral.
